We’re living for these hot colors this summer. Whether it be hair, dress, purse, jeans, or sneakers, the most popular colors we’re living for this summer are:
Pastel Purple
Yep, purple is still in, but the tone is evolving. It’s no longer just “loud and proud” – we’re seeing a lot more subdued color temperatures these days. That’s not to say you’ll go wrong with any shade of purple; it’s still a top choice for hair and fashion alike. Our primary suggestion is to go with a shade of purple that matches your skin tone. Darker complexions and hair should go for a deeper purple, whereas fairer skin should skew more pastel.
Crimson Red
Not too bright, but not too dark either, the crimson red is arguably the perfect shade of red for any season. Typically worn by celebrities to meld with the infamous carpet, who’s to stop you from being a star yourself?
This color reflects sunlight more than it absorbs it, which means that you may not feel as cool as if you were wearing white, but you certainly won’t sweat too much. On the aesthetic side, it’s a perfect fit for ceremonial dresses, formal shoes, and fashion accessories. When matching with eyeglasses, Carmine frames may be a bit less “intrusive”. And who doesn’t love a beautiful crimson hair color?
Turquoise
As vibrant and open as the clear, blue skies, turquoise is the color that reflects the cheerful personality of summer love. Turquoise is a highly versatile color that can be worn by anyone, regardless of the occasion, and can even fit into corporate America with the right styling.
Little Mermaid cosplayers, bridesmaids, schoolgirls, and social media celebrities are wearing it with the same flair. It is the one-color-fits-all choice for women of all ages and walks of life for this summer. It makes for a beautiful hair color, too!
Turquoise clothes can also keep you fresh for hours, as it reflects sunlight perfectly. It’s absolutely ideal for pool and beach parties.
Bonus: Olive Green for Fashion
More elegant than khaki, more casual than emerald green, olive green is as popular as it is versatile. Whether you’re attending a safari trip, an outdoor party, or a rock concert, you can’t go wrong with this color.
Although it looks absolutely gorgeous on women’s dresses, olive green men’s pants and suits are trending at the speed of light. Because of its outstanding suitability for practically any occasion (or time of day), you can mix and match it with your favorite outfits, go full green, or wear it as an accessory. We don’t necessarily advise the olive green hair color, sadly. You do you, boo, but it’s not our cup of tea.
